We are experiencing a high number of users leaving gathers because they believe when someone joins the server they believe thats their sub. Please note that if you leave before the bot kicks you will still recieve banpoints.
Bot will kick you once your sub arrives.
.report:
Today we have noticed that users are using the .report command for "leaver" this is not needed, due to the bot will send a automated report to the captain to fill out that the user left the game.
The links you receive from in-game reports during premium gathers are now working.
When a report is filled (Someone leaves before gather is finished, a .report is issued, etc) the team captain receives a pm with a link to the report. The captain can then use the link to fill out his side of the report and explain why the player deserves ban points. Once done, then the reported user can explain his side of events.
It is then sent to H&S who review the report and make the final decision if the player should receive ban points or not.
With the new update to the Gather-Network comes the arrival of a new sponsor and you have probably heard of them before. We apologise about the delay in releasing this news, we just wanted to finalise a few things. We are proud to announce that we have now entered a partnership with Steelseries, the World's biggest provider in professional gaming gear and we have some truly amazing prizes for this month and for the upcoming Gather-Network Summer Cup 2010.
The Anti-Cheat tool WILL NOT be mandatory for the time being, however we hope to have it ready before the end of the month to ensure no cheaters will any prizes given out by the Gather-Network. We hate cheaters as much as you do and we promise we will do out utmost to ensure winners are all legit players - but with that said, as we mentioned we hope to have the AC Tool online before the end of the month.
We understand that some users dislike the new update to the Gather-Network whilst many others love it, however we promise to do the best we can to continually improve the Gather-Network based on the community and it's desires. We have noticed many users have gone to other websites that have spawned recently and these clones offer you very little in comparison to us.
Users of these clone websites will know that some of them have promised to give prizes for users in the ladder and from what we have seen these prizes have never been delivered - we strongly suggest you stop using these websites for your own good - we provide much more here at the Gather-Network and our prizes have got even better.
We also encourage admins to continue to create member gathers, which as many of you have noticed have been lacking since the new update. You cannot gain skillpoints in member gathers any more, but this shouldn't put you off from playing here at the Gather-Network in our member gathers - skillpoints aren't everything, having fun should be more important..
In the coming week we will ask the community for their opinions on the new update and how we can help improve the experience for all of our users, so look out for a news post regarding this in the near future.
