Dear members,

Starting next week you will be required to use our new and updated Gather-Network Anti-Cheat. The updated AC tool will be enforced for both premium gathers (pingame) and normal gathers. This new AC tool has been improved a lot and we hope that we are not going to face any enourmous bugs.

However to be on the safe side we would like for every user to verify that the tool is ready and give us a little feedback, of course we are always open for any suggestions. In order to use the new AC tool please visit this page.

Note: You won't be allowed to join the game if you don't have you're AC tool turned on.

Dupa cum bine stiti luna Mai va fi o luna a testelor deoarece s-a implementat noul sistem GN10. Intre timp va invit sa incercati o noua metoda de webgather.

Majoritatea userilor nefamiliari cu mirc-ul se conecteaza foarte greu pe canalele de gather. Webgather-ul va ofera posibilitatea de a va conecta pe #cs.gather.ro direct de pe browser, fara a fi nevoie sa instalati vreun client. Singurul lucru pe care trebuie sa-l faceti e sa va logati la Q iar apoi puteti folosi comanda /msg CS-Gather-RO auth.

Dear members,

We would like to remind every Channel leader and manager that have their own channel up and running to update their servers with the new plugin version 2.07 which can be found here. Also please note that if this doesn't work it either means that you a have game server which is located behind a firewall that our API receives (when triggered). You will then see messages like this when you play on your game server: "Your game server is behind a firewall, please contact GN with the folowing IP to activate it: x.x.x.x".

Another thing it also may be due to some scripts (e.g anti-silent run script) that are not suppose to be there.

To fix the problem, please contact an helper:
- on #gather-network IRC channel
- by sending an email to helpstaff@gather-network.eu.com

Don't forget to specify your game server IP:PORT and the IP displayed by the plugin on your game server (x.x.x.x).

Now as most of you been aware of, ever since the launch of the new Gather-Network aka GN10, a new premium system has also been launced or as most of you know it by the code name pingame. There were alot of questions regarding pingame on how it works, what were the basic commands, how can you replace yourself, and why does the bot put the sub. player in the wrong team. All that i will try to explain in the next few steps.

How to join a premium gather?

In order to join a premium gather you will need to go in the "Play Now!" area which is located in the Features menu. Once you're there, you will notice a big sort of google map which points out where the servers are located. Now if you have a server located in your country i asume that you would want to join that server. So to join that server look at this image:

Once you click on that "Connect now" icon, a popup window called "Launch Applications" will show up, what you need to do then is just press OK! and wait for the Steam to load your game and will auto join the server.

Another way is through mIRC, by joining a Gather-Network channel, lets say #cs.gather.de. When you join that channel type !gather and you will see the bot listing the ip's of the servers. However this time you will need to launch you're Counter-Strike by yourself and connect to the server you want. Have a look:

Note: If the bot of you're channel does not list any ip, it means that there are not any servers available for pingame.

I'm on the server, what do i do next?

Once you've joined the server the next thing you'll need to do is type .add. Now that you've typed that you will either have to wait for the server to get full and for everyone to do the same thing you just did and the match will begin.

Strange, i thought the match will begin but instead it showed a vote menu, what now?

Nothing strange about it, a normal voting process has begun and you will be able to vote for whatever you want of the given vote options.

First vote: Friendly fire? On or Off

Second vote: Maps? eg. 1. de_dust2 2. de_inferno etc...

Third vote: Team creation mode: Actual teams (What you are when the voting takes place), Random, Balanced, Chosen by captain (top 2 ranked people on server)

End gather vote (when all 16 rounds have been played):  Finish all 30 rounds or end now since one team has won.

And the last vote menu is the teamkill menu, The teamkill vote menu will basicaly pop up when a player will start to teamkill his own teammate a little to much.

eg. "Do you want to kick chicken for teamkilling?" Yes or No

A player dropped, timed out during the game, the substitute player connected but he was put in right team, and the gather won't continue, what now?

Now i know most of you had this problem during one pingame gather. The solution to this is to type .switch. Once you've done the bot will procced to kick the replaced player and continue the gather in a normal way.

Update: Due to player feedback, the .switch system has been removed.  Replacement players are now automatically switched.

Now to sum up all this the basic command for pingame (Premium in-game) are

Commands - WARMUP: .add, .retry | Tactic Mode: .ready (c) | Live: .score, .restart (c), .replaceme, .switch, .afk (c), .online .report (c) .demo (c/ac)  | Anytime: .version

In the next news post i will try to explain on how the skillpoints work, and are they bug or is there any trick to gain such enourmous points. :-)
